Chocolate, Apple Cider and Friends...

So, yesterday, we went to the city for MeLissa's chiropractic appointment. Everything went pretty well....and given the small quake we had today, that's probably a very good thing! :) She felt a little queasy after the rockin' and rollin' but nothing terribly bad.

Anyhow, all that aside, once we got me straightened out (ha!), we passed some time looking in Williams-Sonoma in the Embarcadero Center. While there, we found a great book on making chocolates. MeLissa is looking forward to trying it out!

After shopping, we went to visit our friend Alisa at her hotel. She's been in town for a convention for Pharmacists and Pharmacy students. Alisa, her classmate/friend, Denise and we ventured to Starbucks where we enjoyed each other's company. MeLissa enjoyed a fabulous apple cider drink with whipped cream (we thought it was crazy, too!) and caramel in it. After our brief interlude, Alisa and Denise went to their evening function and we headed home. :)

A calm, but enjoyable venture....

You had a little quake this morning!!? Too crazy! I guess you're probably a pro by now and small ones are like rain in Seattle or something. :) Glad it wasn't a too big of a deal!
Your drink sounded good. I probably would have asked for whipped cream too. It's starting to get too hot over here for cider, but you've got me thinking I should go to Starbucks this weekend and get something really good. I hardly ever go because there are too many choices and I hardly ever drink coffee and would never know where to begin! It's a very confusing place! :)
Glad you had a nice day. Hope tomorrow is just as great!

Nope, can't say as I am used to the quakes...don't know that I ever will be! Give me a tornado any day....at least you can tell from the sky that they're coming!

Starbucks is actually pretty easy for us. Neither of us likes coffee. I'm not sure how Mark feels about it, but I imagine it tastes very similar to what chewing on tree bark would taste like if I were to go there. :) That kind of narrows it down to cocoa or apple cider. Both were excellent. :)

ah, the joys of Starbucks!! I wasn't a big coffee drinker, but Starbucks has me hooked. I still don't drink it "black" like my husband does (yuck!), but oh, how wonderful the Starbucks peppermint mocha is...hot or cold. And the iced toffee nut latte?? mmmmm.......darn it MeLissa, now I'm craving Starbucks!! ;)

Love,
