All Clear!

Yea! At my doctor appointment today I was given the great news that everything is finally healed up and can be left alone. No more sticking long q-tips or sticks into my wounds. Thank goodness - I was just waiting for the time when one of them would break off!

We also did a little weigh-in for Nicholas today and are happy to report that he's all the way up to 7 pounds 14 ounces. This is about a 14 ounce gain since he was at 7 pounds even last week at our weigh in. Given that Nick has been eating like a horse these past few days, we're glad to see some of it is sticking with him.

Speaking of eating, we discovered why dear Nicholas was having "colic" symptoms. He was HUNGRY! We were giving the little guy the amount of formula (and breast milk, of course) that he should be eating to enjoy a steady weight gain, but we discovered on Sunday that it probably wasn't enough at the moment...he really wants to get big and strong folks. So now that he's in a little growth spurt we're making sure he's getting enough and we're really enjoying having our little angel baby back.

Finally, we enjoyed a nice little outing today to the San Francisco Botanical Garden. Since we arrived about 15 minutes to closing time, we plan to return soon. It was a great place to stroll with Nicholas...
